The Stressed Compilations started in 2004 when the idea of collecting tracks from local bands and putting them on one CD was first discussed. Unlike other local compilations that have come out before, we wanted the CD have a professional look and feel so that it would be taken seriously.

Since the release of Stressed Volume 2, 11 bands from the Vol 3 CD have been played numerous times on Radio 1s evening shows, including Zane Lowe, Steve Lamacq, Rob Da Bank, Huw Stephens and Mike Davis. This also included a feature on the Rob Da Bank show, which did a special on the Derby music scene in June. Furthermore, Fixit Kid, Dragonflies Draw Flame and Plans and Apologies were all invited to a record live sessions at Maida Vale for Huw Stephens.
